Privatte messaging

Hi all,

I have two new private messages but I cannnot read them. When I click them the following appears: "Private messaging has been disabled on this board"
What can I do?

Sorry,

Private messaging was briefly turned on for a few days in late March/early April, but was then turned off due to security concerns. The messages cannot be retrieved.

Thats too bad.

I think PM's are very usefull, especialy when pursuing something very specific, or following up on something that has no buisness bothering the entire board about.

Are PM's going to be reinstated?

i don't think pm's would be usefull

if you leave your email address it wont be visible for others, but you can get in *private* contact with those who provide it
it still does not help if people ignore follow up questions, hence pm's can be ignored as well

Hmmm.

sometimes people dont want to be bothered in their email, but when they activly come in to the site, PM's are OK.

I am just used to some forums were we use PM's and I like them, thats all.

As with Zaax i dont see the security concerns of having private messages :shock:
