Timing between two searches

Postby Graham » Nov 06 2008 8:33 pm

The required timing between two searches should be shortened. Those notices surely piss me off. how about others?

Especially if you just want to edit what you wrote.

I don't know if the forums allow to discriminate timings between searches, edits, and new posts. If they don't though, i'd vote to keep the lag - I just had to delete 40 posts from a spammer, other moderators will have to delete other 150 in their respective forums, and they might have been much more if it wasn't for the time lag. So, when spammers appear, some lag is very good.

I wish other moderators would show up more and keep an eye on their forums. I just deleted 288 posts.

I agree the lag time is annoying but I just wait 30 seconds and I can go back into another post.

Hi MPagel,
Thanks for the links. The Biotechniques programmers installed some new options to help make removing spam easier and we also have some new moderators who will be checking the site regularly and helping to catch spam before it gets out of control.

Thanks for the suggestions,
Suzanne
