This is awesome. I love the UI. I'm a big fan of UX.

Have you seen / heard / used the Repositive platform? https://repositive.io

They also use metadata, but from human genomic datasets, and allow the browsing of multiple data sources with single (or multiple) query. They have over 1 million datasets indexed now. Also, if you are interested in epigenetics / methylation, they made this pretty cool free methylation data collection with over 199,000 datasets. https://discover.repositive.io/datasets ... ylation%22

They do not store data, but they do link direct to the source. If you want to view the collection above you'll need to create a free account / profile. 8)
