Water for oligo care

Postby Nickerson » Jun 26 2008 5:28 am

Does anyone have opinions on what quality of water should be used during the wash cycle for printing spotted oligo arrays? Since the print pins will be repeatedly dipping into the oligo plates I'm thinking nuclease free water would be best, however expensive considering the amount of water used when printing. In general, should microarray oligos (70mers) be treated as you would handle primers for PCR? Do you guys use nuclease free water for PCR primers?
