Control group for microarray experiment

Postby sakumi » Aug 28 2016 12:46 pm

Hello all!

I'm currently designing a microarray experiment comparing single cell gene expression between aged and young animals. The problem is that I'm not sure what my control will be, since the two groups are on two ends of the spectrum and neither is "normal".

I'm very new to the technique and any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance!

since you are comparing them to each other then you may not need a "normal" control. however, if you want one then run one that you identify as normal.
