HeLa S3

Postby ArtemLada » Jun 20 2016 2:13 am

I am looking for a workhorse suspension human cell line for protein expression.
Seems like HeLa S3 is a good candidate, but:
on ATCC site it is marked as "adherent", while on ECACC - as a "suspension" one.
Where is the truth?

Normally, Hela cell is adherent, but it also can be suspension in particular culture condition.
Hela S3 is adherent, but could also be suspension and could reach a higher density under suspension culture.
