RNA precipitation problem

Postby nekameneka » Jun 16 2017 12:56 pm

Hi everyone,

I have question about precipitating my large RNA (14kbp). I purify my RNA to have very high purity so the samples I have at the end are around 200ng/ul in 10ul. The problem is that I want/need higher concentration so I pool these samples of 10ul and precipitate usual way (3M NaOAC, pH 5.0 and double amount of ethanol, keep on -30 for 30mins and centrifuge to get pellet).
I have no problems precipitating RNA usually but only when I try to pool these pure samples and precipitate I get nothing in the end, any ideas why??
Thanks a lot!
