bacillus transformation

Hi all,

I have been trying to transform my vector construct to bacillus for the past 2 months,i tried electroporation and some chemical method. I could not get anything on the plat. If anyone knows other good procedure to do this, please help me out.

Hi Marissa,

I’ve never done Bacillus transformation, but I found some articles that might be helpful, including the one at the link below. What species (subtilis?) and strain are you using?

If this one isn’t appropriate, try searching your specific species name, strain and “transformation protocol” and see if you can find any workable protocols.
